The pattern

The buyer already knows what they need. They land on whoever's site contains it.

The person sourcing a component, a piece of equipment or a bulk supply already knows what they need. They search by specification, part number, capacity or material — and they land on whoever's site actually contains those terms. Most manufacturer websites talk about heritage and quality commitment, and rank for neither.

  • Your catalogue is a PDF, so it's invisible. Product data locked in a downloadable PDF or a Flash-era table cannot rank. Specification content rendered as indexable pages is the single biggest untapped asset in industrial search.
  • Long buying cycles, and no visibility into the first two-thirds. Industrial purchases involve months of research and multiple stakeholders before anyone makes contact. If the only conversion action is "request a quote", you're invisible for most of the journey.
  • You're competing with distributors for your own products. Resellers often outrank manufacturers on their own product terms because they publish better structured content.
Why generic marketing fails here

Unglamorous, technical, and it works.

Consumer SEO tactics don't transfer. Industrial search rewards technical depth: specification pages, application-based content, comparison tables, downloadable data republished as indexable HTML.

It's unglamorous work most agencies won't do, and it compounds for years — because a specification page that ranks keeps ranking long after a paid campaign stops.

Specification architecture

Every product's specs, capacities and materials rendered as indexable pages — not locked in a PDF.

Application-led content

Long-form pages built around what the component does and where it's used — how engineers actually search.

Mid-journey capture

Spec sheets, comparison data and range pricing that earn the visit months before "request a quote".

LinkedIn for the stakeholders

Multiple decision-makers touch an industrial purchase. LinkedIn keeps you visible to the ones who never search.

The next frontier · AEO & GEO

Assistants are already doing technical sourcing. PDFs don't get cited.

AI assistants are heavily used for technical sourcing — "supplier of a component with this specification in Australia". Structured specification data is exactly what gets extracted. Manufacturers with indexable technical content are already being cited; those with PDFs are not.

Answer Engine Optimisation

Specification data an assistant can extract.

When the query names a capacity, a material or a standard, the answer comes from whoever published it as structured, parseable content.

  • Product and specification schema across the catalogue
  • Question-first application content mapped to sourcing queries
  • Comparison and compatibility data as indexable HTML tables

Generative Engine Optimisation

The supplier the model already knows.

Generative engines tie entities to categories. We build the authority content that makes your brand the reference for its product class.

  • Entity-level SEO connecting your brand to its component categories
  • Authority content built to be cited by LLMs and AI search
  • Distributor-proofing: owning your own product terms at the source

Common questions

What manufacturers actually ask us.

That's the advantage. Technical terms have low competition and extremely high intent.

Ranges, usually yes. It qualifies buyers and it's what assistants extract.

Six to twelve months to compound, and it holds far longer than paid demand.
